On Jan. 29, Mathis obtained a name from somebody who had discovered a stray canine on a street. The caller introduced her in, and the vet found that the stray was a feminine pit bull who was in actually dangerous form.
The clinic’s Facebook page states that she was emaciated, starved, dehydrated, hypothermic, anemic, and had a vaginal prolapse. The canine was dubbed “Graycie,” and Mathis thought he must euthanize her.
With the encouragement of associates, and the urging of commenters on Facebook, Mathis as an alternative took Graycie to a educating hospital on the University of Georgia.
