A Cat Who Comforted Mourners At A Cemetery For 20 Years Has Been Laid To Rest
RIP Barney, you have been a fantastic consolation to many.
This is Barney. Barney lived at St. Sampson’s Parish Church cemetery on the island of Guernsey off the coast of England.

For 20 years Barney comforted mourners on the cemetery as they laid their family members to relaxation.

But sadly, final week Barney died of previous age.
His demise led to an outpouring of grief among the many church's employees, guests and residents of the city.
Alan Curzon, who’s chargeable for sustaining the cemetery grounds and digging graves, stated Barney’s passing was like “dropping a toddler.”

“I began working on the cemetery in 1995 and Barney was born in 1996. His house owners lived in the home proper subsequent door they usually have been there for O-A years however then they moved a mile away,” Curzon advised BuzzFeed News.
“They took Barney with them as you do however he stored disappearing and coming again to the cemetery and ultimately we made a house for him there.”

Curzon stated individuals who visited the cemetery had “taken Barney into their hearts.”

“He was an entire sweetheart, he liked everybody who got here by way of the cemetery. He would wait with me on the gate once we did burials and he would make himself recognized to the newcomers and he gave lots of consolation to individuals. He would rub towards their legs as they positioned flowers on the graves.”
