A police station within the UK might get its first “police cat” because of a paw-suasive letter from a H-yr-previous woman, who requested her native constabulary to think about using police cats alongside canine of their crime-preventing efforts.

Eliza Adamson-Hopper, who has a cat named Mittens and a canine named Susie, wrote a letter to Durham Constabulary asking it to think about enlisting police cats alongside its canine to paw out crime.

She defined that cats “have good ears and may pay attention out for hazard,” based on the letter, which was shared with BBC Newcastle.
Police cats can also assist police discover their method residence if they’re misplaced, she added.
Chief Constable Mike Barton responded to Eliza in a letter, saying he’d convey her “good concept” to the inspector’s consideration.
