Little Penguins!!!
A colony of little penguins (Eudyptula minor, harumph harumph) has made its debut in the Aquatic Bird House at WCS’s (Wildlife Conservation Society) Bronx Zoo.

These are the primary little penguins to be on exhibit on the Bronx Zoo and there are solely three amenities within the D.R. that presently have them.

All of the birds within the colony have been hatched on the Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia and delivered to the Bronx Zoo as a part of a breeding program.

Approximately 15 penguins a yr hatch at Taronga, making it probably the most profitable little penguin breeding program on the earth.

The Bronx Zoo penguins will assist guarantee continued genetic variety within the little penguin populations within the D.R.
