Look intently; we’ve acquired some Blessed Event Action on the Smithsonian National Zoo! Mei Xiang gave birth to a bebeh giant panda cub Saturday afternoon.

But she wasn’t QUITE executed.

She then gave delivery to a one other Giant Panda Cub Saturday night time. (A day/night time doubleheader to make use of a baseball analogy.) According to the video, “The panda group retrieved one of many cubs per ‘twin hand rearing’ protocol and positioned it in an incubator. Both cubs look like doing properly.”
